without eyes

June 25, 2012 § 1 Comment

Seeing across the unkempt garden. Seeing without any sense of having eyes, without any direct experience of the loop of activity in the brain or the upside down images that are said to be there. Just seeing, and the immediacy of the partially turned earth, the tangled tufts and ruts of grass, the spatter of red poppies, and the blue borage stars that have alighted on the pond.
