The curtains hold back the day until teenagers rise for breakfast and parents begin to lunch. The earlier hours have been deep with quiet intent and a cleansing flow of imagination. Blank pages have been scribed with unctuous blue ink and red ink and black. Arrows and spirals, letters and icons, doodles looping through words, easing dreams into a new year.
